A daring armed robbery targeting a Safeguard Security cash-in-transit vehicle early Thursday morning has left authorities in Bulawayo scrambling to apprehend the perpetrators. Police believe the robbery was an inside job, with the suspects likely acting with the help of insiders.

The incident occurred at a financial institution located at the corner of 9th Avenue and Fife Street. Six unidentified armed individuals intercepted the cash-in-transit team, making off with a staggering US$4 million.

Investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the robbery and identify those responsible. Police suspect that the suspects had prior knowledge of the security team's movements and the location of the cash.
