The people of Mabvuku have expressed heartfelt gratitude to Scotland Football Club for its generous offer to make its ambulance available to the community when not in use by the team.
The gesture has been hailed as a game-changer for the community, which has long struggled with limited access to emergency medical services.
"We are so thankful to Scotland FC for this kind gesture," said 72-year-old Gogo Moyo, a resident of Mabvuku. "Our community has struggled for years with limited access to ambulances, and this will save countless lives."
Another elderly resident, 67-year-old Mai Tendai, echoed Gogo Moyo's sentiments. "We have lost loved ones due to lack of emergency services. This ambulance will bring hope and relief to our community. We thank Scotland FC from the bottom of our hearts."
Mbuya Chiedza, 75, a community leader, praised Scotland FC's commitment to social responsibility. "This is not just about football; it's about showing care for the community. We appreciate Scotland FC's willingness to make a difference beyond the pitch."
Scotland FC's owner and Mabvuku Legislator Scott Pedzesai Sakupwanya said the decision was inspired by the team's commitment to giving back to the community. "We recognize that our ambulance can make a significant difference in saving lives. We're happy to share this resource with Mabvuku."
The ambulance, fully equipped with emergency medical equipment, will be stationed at Mabvuku Poly Clinic and will be available for community use during non-match days.
As the people of Mabvuku celebrate this lifesaving gesture, they look forward to a brighter future, thanks to Scotland FC's kindness.
