Shingirai Muyambo, 29, from Chitungwiza, has been denied bail after being charged with attempted murder. He appeared before the Harare Magistrates' Courts, where he was advised to apply for bail through the High Court.

The incident allegedly took place on October 6, 2024, at Lifelong College, located at the corner of Robert Mugabe and Rotten Row Roads in Harare’s Central Business District.

According to the State, the informant was decorating the interior of her church, Mountain Top Apostolic Ministries, when she witnessed Pastor Isaac Zhot fall to the ground after being stabbed in the chest with an okapi knife by Muyambo.

The informant reportedly rushed to the scene and found the pastor bleeding from his chest. He was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.
