The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority has issued a US$2,000 reward for any information that could lead to the arrest of poachers responsible for the brutal killing of three lions in Hwange National Park. The incident, which occurred earlier this week, has sparked outrage and concern among conservationists and the public alike.
According to ZimParks spokesperson Tinashe Farawo, a special investigation team has been deployed to the park to gather evidence and apprehend the perpetrators. "We are committed to bringing these criminals to justice," Farawo stated in a Facebook post. "The poaching of these magnificent creatures is a tragic loss and a threat to the delicate ecosystem of Hwange National Park."
