The Northern Region Soccer League  has found itself embroiled in a controversy that threatens to tarnish the integrity of the league. The dispute stems from a recent ruling that awarded a 3-0 victory to Scottland FC over Karoi United, a decision that has significant implications for the league's promotion race.

MWOS FC, a club with strong financial backing, was initially poised to secure promotion to the Premier Soccer League. However, the NRSL's ruling has shifted the momentum in favor of Scottland, leaving MWOS in a precarious position.

In a desperate bid to overturn the decision, MWOS has reportedly offered financial incentives to both Karoi United and the ZIFA Appeals Committee. The club's management is allegedly providing funding to Karoi United to enable them to mount a legal challenge against the NRSL's ruling. Additionally, MWOS is believed to be offering a substantial sum to influence the ZIFA Appeals Committee's decision.

Karoi United, a club known for its financial struggles, has welcomed the influx of funds from MWOS. The club has issued a statement expressing its dissatisfaction with the NRSL's decision and vowing to pursue legal action.

The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) may be called upon to investigate the matter, given the potential for corruption and undue influence. The ZIFA Appeals Committee will also face intense scrutiny as it considers the appeal from Karoi United
