Another man who allegedly was part of a crew that robbed items worth US$20 000 in Christon Bank has been arraigned before the courts.
Sarezi Shonhiwa, 57, of New Marlborough, appeared at the Harare Magistrates' Courts charged with robbery.
He will appear in court on November 15, 2024, for bail application.
The State, through prosecutor Takudzwa Jambawu, alleges that on August 25, at house number 38 Maputi Drive, Christon Bank, Mazowe, Shonhiwa and his accomplices only identified as Lactoy Taremba, Brian Chiyangwa, Godfrey Mapanzure, Tawanda Manokore who are still at large and Tapiwa Nyakasaka who is already on remand on this case allegedly used violence to Stephen Gramme Bennet.
They allegedly stole money, jewellery, a Samsung Galaxy A5, Canon E06 camera, Sony Digital mini camera, a camera bag, fold up single blade John Deere branded knife, Leatherman fold up multi tool knife, LG Bluetooth speaker, Bose Bluetooth speaker, 4 SanDisk memory cards, Pentax 8x40 binoculars, Swarovsky 8x30 binoculars, Swarovsky 10x25 binoculars and Gardena water spray.
A Canon camera with 2 lens, Pentax 8x40 binoculars, Swarovsky CL 10x30 binoculars, 4x SanDisk memory cards, Complainant's Photo Card and a Gardena water spray from Shonhiwa's accomplice who is already on remand in this case
Accused also led to the recovery of 3 empty jewellery boxes stolen from the complainant, a Machete was aIso recovered.
As a result US$20 000 worth of property was robbed and US$3 110 was recovered.
