President Emmerson Mnangagwa donated over two tonnes of rice to 20 care homes in Bulawayo this Tuesday. The generous donation, handed over by Bulawayo's Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Honourable Judith Ncube, brought joy to the elderly and children's care homes.
The 20 care homes that benefited from the donation included Luveve School of Training, Percy Iboston, St Francis, and Sandra Jones, among others. Each home received 100-kilogramme bags of rice, which will undoubtedly make a significant difference in their lives.
"The timely donation will go a long way in ensuring the elderly have a great Christmas," said one grateful beneficiary. Another added, "Our children are going to be happy because Christmas season is all about enjoying good food."
Honourable Ncube extended her appreciation to President Mnangagwa for his great leadership, which seeks to empower vulnerable members of the community. "We are so grateful to the President, we really appreciate the donation," she said.
