JM Busha 53 held their end-of-year awards ceremony to honour their outstanding players. And what a year it has been for the team, led by their fearless captain, Trevor "Cyclone" Madinda, who hails from the humble streets of Highfields, affectionately known as Fio.

Madinda, a product of Fio's rich football heritage, has been instrumental in leading JM Busha 53 to promotion to the Eastern Region Division 1. His leadership, skill, and dedication have earned him the respect and admiration of his teammates, coaches, and fans. Madinda's impressive goal-scoring record also earned him the title of league top goal scorer.

But Madinda is not the only Fio product to shine at JM Busha 53. Cosmas Nyamayaro, the team's talented goalkeeper, also hails from Highfields and was jointly awarded the Player of the Year award alongside Madinda. The duo's impressive performances have been instrumental in the team's success, and their achievements are a source of pride for the Fio community.

At the awards ceremony, held at a local hotel in Harare, the Most Improved Player award went to Kelvin Chimusoro, while Kudakwashe Mandeya took home the Most Disciplined Player award.

In an interview, Madinda praised his coaches, teammates, and family. He also paid tribute to Dynamos Coach Lloyd Chigowe, who he credited with playing a significant role in his development as a player.

JM Busha President Joseph Busha, who has been instrumental in nurturing young talent, expressed his pride in the team's achievements and his confidence in their ability to contribute to the Warriors squad. "These are the boys who are going to lift the AFCON," he said. "I am sure that this team will contribute at least 8 players to the Warriors squad."
