A delegation of Spanish football experts from La Liga club Real Oviedo arrived in Zimbabwe on Thursday to lead a youth development initiative designed to introduce local youngsters to modern coaching techniques and global pathways.
The specialists are conducting a two-day coaching camp at The Heritage School from Friday through Saturday. The sessions focus on technical and tactical skill refinement for participants aged 10 to 16, operating under the Heritage Real Oviedo Football Academy Zimbabwe banner led by former Dynamos captain Murape Murape.
Standout performers during the camp may earn consideration for a two-week trial stint at Real Oviedo in Spain, contingent on the club's evaluation standards.
Murape emphasized that the project is structured to cultivate local talent and open doors for Zimbabwean players to advance.
“We want to create an environment where young players can develop their talent, learn from different football cultures and understand what it takes to progress to higher levels,” Murape said.
