ZIFA ELECTIONS: FANS DEMAND CHANGE!

As the Zimbabwe Football Association elections campaign gains momentum, the Zimbabwe National Soccer Supporters Association has made its voice heard, emphasizing the need for infrastructure development and a fans' representative in the ZIFA Assembly.

ZNSSA president Joseph Mutau addressed a meeting in Highfield yesterday, where he outlined the supporters' expectations from the upcoming ZIFA elections. Mutau stressed that infrastructure development is key, citing the need for more stadiums in different provinces that can host international matches.

"It was sad that Zimbabwe did not enjoy home-ground advantage throughout the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers," Mutau said, highlighting the importance of having suitable infrastructure.

The ZNSSA also took the opportunity to denounce splinter groups that often emerge when the Warriors are traveling, causing confusion about which supporters' organization is authentic. Mutau reaffirmed that the ZNSSA, founded by the late Eddie "Mboma" Nyatanga, is the genuine supporters' association.

Mutau emphasized that fans are a crucial stakeholder in the game and their voices should be heard. To this end, the ZNSSA is advocating for a fans' representative to be included in the ZIFA Assembly.
