Buddy Chikowa, 29, of Glen Norah, appeared before Magistrate Isheunesu Matova facing forgery charges for allegedly forging the logo and letterhead of Stanserv Genuine Services Private Limited.

The complainant, represented by Chief Operations Officer Zvinavashe Jonax Chitsa, is a calibration company specializing in bulk liquid trucks, road tankers, and fuel dispensing equipment.

Prosecutor Rufaro Chonzi told the court that in 2024, Chikowa forged Stanserv's letterhead and logo to reproduce fake calibration certificates for various customers without the company's consent.

On August 1, 2024, Stanserv received a tip-off that Chikowa had forged a calibration chart for Limitless Energy Private Limited. After investigating, the complainant obtained a copy of the chart, revealing several irregularities.

The chart bore a fake Standards Association of Zimbabwe stamp, a counterfeit security seal, and forged signatures mimicking the complainant's.

Stanserv reported the matter to the police on August 7, 2024, leading to Chikowa’s arrest. The company alleges that Chikowa's actions undermined its reputation and the integrity of its operations.

The case is ongoing.
