Zimbabwe's President Emmerson Mnangagwa is facing a barrage of criticism, with opponents spreading false and malicious stories to destabilize the country. But who's behind this smear campaign, and what's the real story?

"The opponents of President Mnangagwa are funding false and malicious stories to create the impression that the majority of people are calling for his resignation."

Unconfirmed reports and biased information are circulating on social media, fueled by individuals seeking to undermine Mnangagwa's leadership. Vocal critics like Godfrey Tsenengamu are calling for his resignation, with Tsenengamu stating, _"President Mnangagwa is a failure and must step down."

Other individuals are using war veterans to amplify their messages, with figures like Geza gaining attention for their viral statements against the President.

Despite the criticism, Mnangagwa's administration has actually delivered more for war veterans than previous governments. _"Some war veterans who had passed away were not recognized, and financial support for them was minimal. Now, more veterans are being acknowledged, with plans in place to provide them with housing and other benefits,"_ said a government official.

Major infrastructure projects, such as road construction and the Gwai-Shangani Dam, demonstrate Mnangagwa's commitment to national development. _"These projects show that President Mnangagwa is dedicated to improving the lives of Zimbabweans and developing the country's infrastructure,"_ added the official.

Those spreading falsehoods have an agenda to create chaos and prevent Zimbabwe's progress. _"They want to undermine President Mnangagwa's leadership and prevent the country from moving forward,"_ said a government source.
