Church leader Seeks Court Order Over Pregnancy, Harassment Claims

Zim Now Reporter

A Harare church leader, Edson Chirimani, has turned to the courts seeking a peace order after being accused by Nigel Furaijo of impregnating his wife and causing her miscarriage.

Chirimani told the Harare Civil Court that Furaijo had been harassing him with threatening WhatsApp messages, demanding that he take responsibility for the pregnancy and miscarriage.

In his testimony, Chirimani explained that Furaijo sent pictures of his wife, asking if he knew her. Chirimani denied knowing her personally, explaining that she had approached him for spiritual services.

However, Furaijo insisted that Chirimani was the father, claiming his wife had admitted to the pregnancy being his. He added that the prophet had discussed the matter with her relatives. When Furaijo confronted Chirimani at his home, the prophet continued to deny the allegations.

In response to Furaijo's threats to embarrass Chirimani publicly, the court granted the peace order, barring Furaijo from sending further offensive messages or making threats against the prophet.
