What began as a domestic dispute between two brothers in Chipinge turned into a fatal tragedy, as Amos Nduna was brought before the local Magistrates’ Court on a charge of murdering his sibling, Rallion Chiambiro Nduna.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe, the altercation occurred on May 5, 2025, following a confrontation over the deceased's dogs, which Amos allegedly claimed were distressing his family.
The disagreement escalated into a heated dispute, prompting Amos to arm himself with a machete and track down his brother to his field.
In what authorities described as a violent encounter, Amos reportedly struck his brother multiple times on the head and amputated his left palm. The gruesome assault led to severe injuries that ultimately caused Rallion’s death.
Two days later, on May 7, police arrested Amos at his residence. Investigators recovered the blood-stained machete believed to be the murder weapon, along with the clothes he wore during the attack, both found hidden in his bedroom.
The NPAZ has since reiterated its call for peaceful conflict resolution, urging members of the public to seek non-violent means or third-party mediation to resolve disputes, especially within families.
