Chief Tshitaudze has donated a full handball kit to Malala Primary School, his former school, as part of his initiative to support sports development in Beitbridge West.

The donation was made on Friday, with the traditional leader highlighting the importance of nurturing a variety of sports disciplines in rural schools.

“This school laid the foundation for my interest in sports, and I am happy to give back in a way that promotes the development of handball,” said Chief Tshitaudze.

He also announced plans to donate another handball kit to the local secondary school, as part of his broader campaign to encourage the growth of lesser-supported sports in the district.

Chief Tshitaudze urged the community to support schools beyond the popular sports such as soccer, netball, and athletics, saying, “It is important that we also invest in other disciplines like handball to give children more sporting opportunities.”

Malala Primary School staff expressed gratitude for the support, saying the gesture will motivate learners and contribute positively to their physical development.
