The Premier Soccer League  has taken decisive disciplinary action against Chicken Inn FC, Dynamos FC, and key individuals in response to recent incidents that led to the abandonment of league matches.

In its rulings, the PSL Disciplinary Committee addressed two separate high-profile matches that were prematurely halted under controversial circumstances.

Chicken Inn FC were found guilty of causing the abandonment of their match against Scottland FC, which took place at Rufaro Stadium on 23 May 2025. The club has been fined US$5,000 and the match has been awarded to Scottland FC with a 3-0 default scoreline. The committee also sanctioned Chicken Inn player George Majika for his role in the incident. Majika received a US$1,000 fine after being singled out as a central figure in the disruption.

In a separate case, Dynamos FC faced penalties for their role in the abandonment of their clash against FC Platinum at Mandava Stadium on 22 June 2025. The PSL issued the same US$5,000 fine to the Harare-based giants, and likewise awarded the match to FC Platinum on a 3-0 basis.

The spotlight also turned to Dynamos head coach Saul Chaminuka, who was found culpable for unsportsmanlike conduct during the encounter. Chaminuka has been fined US$4,000 and handed a two-match ban from the technical bench, sidelining him from matchday coaching duties for the near future.
