The Zimbabwe Republic Police have arrested a 40-year-old man in connection with a foiled armed robbery at ZIMPOST offices in Glendale on the early morning of September 12, 2025.

In a statement released yesterday, police confirmed the arrest of Tinashe Cloud Jokonya, who was part of a five-man gang that attempted to break into the offices at around 12:50 am.

According to the statement, the suspects attacked a security guard on duty, disarmed him of his Cobra machine gun, and took away his cellphone and pepper spray. They then tied his hands and legs with shoelaces before proceeding to force their way into the offices.
