The City of Bulawayo says it will finalise its 2023 audited financial statements by early October 2025, while the 2024 audit is expected to begin in mid-October and be completed by year-end.
Town Clerk Christopher Dube said the initiative is part of efforts to address delays experienced in previous reporting cycles and to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory audit requirements.
“The City acknowledges the delays experienced in previous reporting periods, and measures were put in place in the 2025 municipal year to complete the backlog of outstanding financial statements,” Dube said.
