Simbisa Sets November Date for Annual General Meeting

Simbisa Brands Limited, the quick-service restaurant operator listed on the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange, has announced that its Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on November 21, 2025.

According to a notice to shareholders, the meeting will review the company’s performance for the financial year ended June 30, 2025, and address key governance and operational matters.

Shareholders are expected to consider the adoption of audited financial statements, the re-election of directors, and the approval of auditors’ fees, among other resolutions.

The AGM will also provide a platform for shareholders to engage the board on the company’s strategic direction following a year characterised by economic headwinds, including high taxation and inflationary pressures that increased operating costs.

Despite the challenging environment, Simbisa has continued to expand its regional footprint.

The company’s latest financial results showed steady revenue growth, though margins were affected by rising input costs and the recently introduced Fast Food Tax, which saw the firm contributing nearly US$1 million to the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority.

The notice also advised shareholders unable to attend the AGM in person to appoint proxies, in line with VFEX corporate governance guidelines.
