Tagwirei Unveils Multi-Million Dollar MSME Complex for Hatcliffe, Pledges Nationwide Empowerment Projects

Newly co-opted ZANU PF Central Committee member Kudakwashe Tagwirei has announced an ambitious plan to construct a multi-million-dollar complex at PaDust market in Hatcliffe, a move aimed at transforming the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector.

The announcement was a cornerstone of an inter-district meeting held yesterday in the Hatcliffe suburb, where Tagwirei addressed thousands of party supporters. He used the platform to provide feedback on the 22nd ZANU PF Annual National People’s Conference and to launch several empowerment programmes aligned with Vision 2030.

The planned PaDust market complex is the flagship project in a series of initiatives Tagwirei announced for the area. He emphasized that these developments are rooted in the national mantra of "leaving no one and no place behind."

"Vision 2030 is a reality and is unstoppable," Tagwirei declared, reinforcing the party's development agenda.

In addition to the MSME complex, Tagwirei immediately launched a US$200,000 revolving fund for all party wings in Hatcliffe Zone 4. Each wing is set to receive US$50,000 to spur local projects. He also committed to supporting the party's grassroots infrastructure by pledging to construct party offices in Zone 4.

Tagwirei’s announcements extended beyond Hatcliffe, signaling a wider commitment to community upliftment. His broader commitments included a significant pledge to address water scarcity in Chitungwiza, where he announced plans to drill 80 solar-powered boreholes to improve access to clean, reliable water. He also revealed that his family would be handing over 12,500 Christmas hampers to vulnerable families.

These projects complement the government's national strategy, which plans to accelerate the growth of the MSME sector in 2026. This national push focuses on skills development, financing, infrastructure, and formalisation to drive inclusive economic growth and poverty alleviation.

During his address, Tagwirei also relayed the outcomes of the recent party conference.

“After realising the achievements made by President Mnangagwa in a short space of time, the conference has resolved that President Mnangagwa’s term of office be extended to 2030 to benefit from the fruits of his policies and vision," he said.

He cited "massive development in all sectors of the economy," including the construction of dams, the New Parliament Building, the rehabilitation of Robert Mugabe International Airport, and major road rehabilitation projects as evidence of this progress.

Earlier, Tagwirei’s philanthropic efforts took a personal turn during a visit to Mashonaland West. After attending the ZANU PF Provincial Coordinating Committee meeting in Chinhoyi as a guest speaker on the Land Tenure system, he made two significant donations linked to his childhood.

He donated US$100,000 each to Banket District Hospital and Kuwadzana Primary School.

“There is something that people do not know, which is that I was born at Banket Hospital and I did my Grade 1 at Kuwadzana Primary School,” Tagwirei explained.

“For that reason, I am donating US$100,000 to the hospital and a similar amount to Kuwadzana Primary School so that the leadership, including the Minister of State ( Marian Chombo), will find out what needs to be done,” he said
