The headmaster of Chikwere Secondary School in Odzi has reportedly been robbed of 2025 Zimbabwe School Examinations Council O-Level results following an attack in Dangamvura, Mutare.
According to The Manica Post, the school head, Tizai Gwazhi, 49, had just collected the examination results from ZIMSEC offices in Mutare when the incident occurred. He is said to have stopped at a bar in the high-density suburb for a drink before proceeding to a friend’s house.

Reports indicate that while on his way, Gwazhi was confronted by two unknown assailants who assaulted him and stole an envelope containing the O-Level result slips, along with his cellphone.
ZIMSEC officially released the 2025 O-Level results at midday on Friday, January 16, 2026, with candidates able to access their results online a few hours later.
ZIMSEC board chairperson Professor Paul Mapfumo confirmed that the online results portal would only be accessible for five days and urged candidates to check their results within that period.
“The portal will remain open for five days only. Heads of examination centres can collect printed results for their schools from our regional offices starting Monday, January 19, 2026,” Mapfumo said.
Students without internet access will be required to collect their result slips from their schools once headmasters have obtained the printed copies from ZIMSEC offices.
