Mozambique has extradited Jaison Muvhevhi, the former Criminal Investigations Department officer who shot and killed three people in Wedza on Friday before fleeing, sources say.
Official police confirmation of the extradition is yet to come.
Muvhevhi was arrested in the neighbouring country yesterday morning, a few minutes after crossing the border after evading police in a shootout at Chiduku area in Rusape.
He had been on the run since Friday when the shooting incidents happened in Wedza.
