The Zimbabwe Music Rights Association (ZIMURA) has parted ways with its Executive Director, Polisile Ncube Chimini, bringing to an end a distinguished career that spanned more than 30 years in music copyright administration.
Her departure follows months of pressure and criticism from stakeholders, linked to a fraud conviction last year and allegations of governance challenges and organisational capture, which had placed her leadership under intense scrutiny.
The ZIMURA Board of Directors confirmed that Mrs. Chimini has concluded her tenure with immediate effect, following a period of engagement and reflection.
