The Apostolic Faith Mission in Zimbabwe is preparing to host one of the country’s largest youth gatherings, with more than 100,000 young people expected to converge at Rufaro Conference Centre for the National Youth Elevation Conference scheduled from April 9 to 12, 2026.
The four-day event will bring together young participants from across Zimbabwe and neighbouring countries for what church leaders describe as a spiritually transformative gathering centred on faith, leadership development, and personal growth.
AFM President Amon D. Madawo, who will headline the conference, urged young people to attend with expectation and readiness.
“We are calling on the young people to come ready because we believe God is going to do it again this year,” said Madawo. “We are expecting lives to be changed through the Word, prayer and deliverance.”
The conference will feature several prominent speakers, including AFM National Youth Leader Blessing Shonhiwa, who has been instrumental in mobilising young people through the Elevation movement.
Guest speaker Thandanani Savhasa from AFM South Africa, who also serves as AFM International Youth President, is expected to deliver teachings focused on spiritual maturity and leadership among young believers.

Beyond worship and teaching sessions, the conference will emphasise community impact and youth empowerment. Delegates will be encouraged to support the Rufaro Clinic building project, an initiative led by the AFM Youth Department aimed at improving access to healthcare services for communities in Chatsworth.
Organisers say the gathering reflects the church’s broader vision of empowering young people spiritually while encouraging active participation in social development initiatives.
