Zimbabwe’s red-hot cricket revival will face another major international test when Bangladesh tours the country in June and July for a full bilateral series featuring one Test match, three One-Day Internationals and three Twenty20 Internationals.
The high-profile tour comes at a time when Zimbabwe cricket is enjoying renewed global attention following the national team’s historic performance at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, where the Chevrons reached the Super Eight stage for the first time in history.
Zimbabwe stunned the cricket world during the tournament after progressing through the group stages unbeaten and recording famous victories over Australia and Sri Lanka, reigniting excitement around the sport back home.
According to the schedule released by Zimbabwe Cricket, the tour will begin with a five-day Test match at Harare Sports Club from June 28 to July 2.
The ODI series will also be played in Harare on July 6, 9 and 11 before the action shifts to Bulawayo, where Queens Sports Club will host the T20I matches on July 15, 17 and 19.
The series marks Zimbabwe’s first home international assignment of the year and is expected to draw massive interest from local supporters eager to watch the national side after its breakthrough global campaign.

Zimbabwe Cricket managing director Givemore Makoni said the Bangladesh tour arrives at a defining moment for the country’s cricket resurgence.
“We are delighted to confirm Bangladesh’s tour of Zimbabwe for what we expect to be a highly competitive and exciting series across all formats,” Makoni said.
“This tour is hugely significant for us as it marks the return of top-level international cricket to our home venues following the team’s outstanding performances at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup earlier this year.”
“Our supporters have every reason to be proud of what we have achieved in recent months and we are looking forward to seeing fans once again rally behind the team in Harare and Bulawayo,” he said.
The upcoming series will also revive a growing rivalry between the two nations after Zimbabwe shared a two-match Test series 1-1 in Bangladesh last year, including a memorable three-wicket victory that ended Zimbabwe’s four-year wait for a Test win.
Bangladesh last toured Zimbabwe in 2022, where the hosts produced impressive performances to win both the ODI and T20I series 2-1 at Harare Sports Club.
The return of major international cricket is expected to provide a major boost for local tourism, hospitality and sports business sectors in Harare and Bulawayo as Zimbabwe seeks to capitalise on growing international momentum surrounding the national team.
