A Willowvale businessman alleges he was unlawfully removed as a director of a transport company and denied his shareholding following the death of the firm's principal shareholder.
He claims the alleged scheme deprived him of rental income from company assets for several years.
Chris John Mazarura, 54, a self-employed resident of 330 Affirmative Way, Willowvale, Harare, is the complainant. Tsamwisai Richards Chitombo, of 543 Low Density, Mutoko, who works as company secretary at Mazarura Holdings, is the accused.
According to court documents, Mazarura Bus Service and Stores (Pvt) Ltd was incorporated in 1986 under the Companies Act with registration number 924/86.
At its formation, Killian Mazarura held 10,000 shares, while Shingirai Mazarura and Chris John Mazarura each held one share. Faith Zenga served as the company secretary.
The company's core business was operating bus services along the Harare–Nyamapanda route and acquiring properties in Murehwa, Suwe, Kotwa, Nyamapanda, Makaha and Mutoko.

Faith Zenga resigned as company secretary on April 1, 2003, and Chitombo was appointed on the same day. Over the years, the business expanded, acquiring more than 100 buses and several properties.
These included Mazarura Garage on stands 91, 92 and 93 in Mutoko, Mazarura College on Stand 319, the main shop and takeaway, Mazarura Stores on Stand 4 at Agribank Mutoko, and Mazarura Garage at 330 Affirmative Way, Willowvale, Harare.
The fleet also included a Scania truck (AAF 3461), a Scania rigid truck (AFR 6033), a Volvo FL6 (AAD 3952), a Mercedes-Benz ML320 and a Scania bus.
Mazarura alleges the dispute began in February 2018, shortly after the death of his father and the company's majority shareholder, Killian Mazarura.
He says he later travelled to South Africa to wind up a separate business. When he returned to Zimbabwe in November 2025, he allegedly discovered that Chitombo had removed him as a director without his knowledge or consent and that his shares had not been issued.
Mazarura further alleges that in 2018 Chitombo irregularly appointed Trevor Mazarura and Charles Mazarura as directors and allocated shares to them without following the proper procedures.
The two allegedly assumed control of the company and have been collecting rental income from properties owned by Mazarura Bus Service and Stores (Pvt) Ltd from 2018 to the present.
Mazarura claims he suffered an actual prejudice of US$300,000, and nothing has been recovered to date.
