Musona and Dube Keep Title Race Red-Hot

Knowledge Musona scored twice to send champions Scottland three points clear at the top of the Castle Lager PSL table, while Prince Dube struck in added time to keep Hardrock right on their heels in a weekend of dramatic 2-1 victories.

Musona coolly dispatched an 11th-minute penalty before curling home a sublime free-kick on the stroke of half-time to seal all three points against Simba Bhora, taking his league tally to 10 goals. Meanwhile, Hardrock pulled off a late comeback against ten-man Hunters. Trailing to Godfrey Dabgwa’s opener, Hardrock took advantage of Emmanuel Zinyama’s red card mid-way through the second half, with Washington Navaya equalising before Dube bagged a sensational late winner.


At the bottom of the table, basement side Triangle boosted their survival hopes with a 2-0 win away at TelOne, courtesy of goals from Sydney Urikhob and substitute Vince Mero. MWOS put on the performance of the round by dismantling ZPC Kariba 4-1 at Ngoni Stadium, led by a brilliant double from Man of the Match Wilson Mensah. Elsewhere, FC Platinum edged Agama 1-0 thanks to Tadiwa Muchenje's second-half strike, while CAPS United were frustrated in a goalless draw at Bulawayo Chiefs.
