Former Kaizer Chiefs fan favorite Knowledge Musona has expressed his excitement and gratitude ahead of a high-stakes reunion with his former club, as Zimbabwean champions Scottland FC prepare to clash with the South African giants in the Toyota Cup Final on Sunday at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium.
Speaking ahead of the highly anticipated cross-border showdown, the talismanic forward made no secret of his deep respect for Amakhosi while emphasising his current commitment to his new club.
"It's a great honor to be here, but unfortunately I'm playing for the opposite team.
So I'm looking forward to the game on Sunday, and it's good to be back here in South Africa.
"And it's an honor also for us to be invited here to South Africa because Kaizer Chiefs is a very big team in Africa and we are very happy that we are going to be competing on Sunday.
"We are looking forward to the game."Musona said
Musona now turns out for reigning champions Scottland FC, where he helped the team secure their maiden championship on their debut appearance in the top flight.
He is joined in Rustenburg by another former Kaizer Chiefs star, Khama Billiat, as well as his talented younger brother Walter Musona, who leads the side as captain.
Both Musona and Billiat enjoyed iconic spells in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) and at Naturena, making Sunday’s final an emotional spectacle for football fans across Southern Africa.
The invitation to compete in the prestigious Toyota Cup Final signals that Scottland FC is doing something right and ticking all the right footballing boxes to stamp its authority in Zimbabwean football and Southern Africa at large.

Scottland FC has aggressively built a formidable squad, attracting top talent including expatriates Kwake Thwala from Eswatini and Moses Shidolo from Namibia, both of whom are rapidly establishing themselves as standout players in the current campaign.
Additionally, the club recently bolstered its options by signing former Dynamos FC captain Emmanuel Jalai on a six-month loan from South African side Durban City.
The move sees Jalai reunite with his childhood Aces Academy teammate and friend, Abubakar Moffat.
The club’s meteoric rise has drawn significant praise from fans and figures close to the team.
According to Scottland FC super fan Richard "Chemhofela" Sande, the Mabvuku side has earned its seat on Zimbabwean football's high table.
"Respect should be put on Scottland FC's name and Honourable Pedzai Sakupwanya.
"Honourable Sakupwanya has changed the face of our football and Scottland is now attracting big clubs in Southern Africa." Sande said
Omali Jani, Emmanuel Jalai’s father and handler, also believes Scottland FC is destined for dizzy heights if they continue on their current path.
"It is good to see regional clubs establishing football partnerships which we are seeing between Kaizer Chiefs and Scottland FC, the latter who also enjoy another strong relationship with Durban City.
"This is a pace setter for other clubs back home to emulate," Jani told Zim Now
