ZB Financial Holdings has appointed Arthur K. Matsaudza as Chief Executive Officer of ZB Bank Limited, effective 1 October 2026, placing a fintech and digital-banking specialist at the helm of one of Zimbabwe’s longest-established financial institutions.
The appointment comes as ZB marks 75 years in financial services and continues to expand its digital banking offering through platforms including MyZB, USSD and WhatsApp banking.
“ZB Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Arthur K. Matsaudza as Chief Executive Officer of ZB Bank, effective 1 October 2026,” the bank said in an official announcement.
“The ZB Bank Limited Board and staff members welcome Arthur and look forward to his leadership.”
Matsaudza brings more than 17 years of experience in banking, fintech and telecommunications across African markets.
He was previously Managing Director of Old Mutual’s fintech business, O’mari, which he founded within the group and took from concept to market launch.

ZB described him as “an accomplished banking and financial services executive” with a combination of executive leadership, commercial expertise and technology experience.
His career has crossed several parts of the financial technology ecosystem.
Before joining Old Mutual, Matsaudza served as Chief Technology Officer and Head of Digital Banking at Steward Bank, where he was involved in the bank’s transformation.
He also held senior telecommunications roles, including Head of Mobile Financial Services at Telecel Zimbabwe, where he worked at the intersection of mobile networks, mobile money and banking.
At Old Mutual, he later served as Group Executive for Digital and Data across 12 African markets before establishing O’mari in 2022.
Matsaudza holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Gloucestershire in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Computer Science from the National University of Science and Technology.
He also holds international industry certifications from IBM and Oracle.
