Two Harare women stole money from a customer who had visited them for sexual services.
Tsungirirai Mamvura, 28 and Nyasha Mpofu, 25, were taken to Harare Magistrates' Court for theft, contravening Section 113 (2) of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act, Chapter 9:23.
The state through Zebediah Bofu alleges that, on February 3, 2023, Mamvura and Mpofu were approached by the complainant for sexual services.
Mamvura agreed and took the complainant to a room which is located at corner Samora Machel and Eighth Street.
Post service, Mamvura took advantage of the sleeping client and stole US$300. She gave the money to her friend Mpofu for safekeeping.
The client reported made a police report. Police conducted a search on the two accused and recovered US$160 was from Mpofu.
Magistrate Dennis Mangosi who presided over the matter remanded the two to April 5.
