Sikandar Raza reign of glory continues as he has been nominated for the ICC Men’s Player of Month Awards for August.
The announcement was made on the ICC channels.
If he wins it, Raza will be the first Zimbabwean to bring home the accolade since January 2021.
The Zimbabwean national star’s memorable August included a total of three centuries in matches against India and Bangladesh.
His three centuries were critical in steering Zimbabwe from dire straits and leading the Chevrons to victory and respectable scores.

An independent panel comprising of fans, broadcasters, and journalists choose the men’s and women’s player of the month.
The three nominees for each of the categories are decided by ICC’s Award Nominating Committee based on their performance during that particular month. Then these nominees are voted upon by the independent panel.
The Voting Academy submit their votes by email and retain a 90% share of the vote. Subsequently, on the 1st day of each month, fans registered with the ICC submit votes via the ICC website and have a 10% share of the vote.
The results are declared every second Monday of the month on the ICC’s digital channels.
