Former SuperSport United and Zimbabwe international midfielder Kuda Mahachi has reportedly been offered a chance to undergo trials in Europe.
The development comes after Mahachi was compelled to defend himself in a court case in which he was accused of abusing his son and had attempted murder charges levelled against him.
SuperSport then offloaded him with the reason that he needed to first clear his name in Zimbabwe. He, however, won the case and has been trying to pick up the pieces and continue with his football career.
The player had hoped to find a new club in the January transfer window but failed to secure a deal.
A Gibraltar professional football team, FCB Magpies, has now invited Mahachi to go for trials for an undisclosed duration.
“Please accept this letter as an official invitation from FCB Magpies, a Gibraltar professional football team, for Kudakwashe Mahachi, a Zimbabwean national with passport no (hidden) to attend a football trial in Gibraltar.
As part of the trial invite FCB Magpies will provide accommodation and all food expenses.”
The reports added that the player was frantically sorting out his papers to travel for the trial stint.
