At least twelve people are feared dead, including the driver, after a Timboon bus carrying forty passengers crashed at the 5km peg along Chivhu-Murambinda Road at around 0630 hours today.
Police are still attending to the accident.
In another fatal road accident, four people died on Friday when a Toyota Quantum veered off the road at the 5km peg along Murehwa-Mandicheche Road at around 0900 hours.
Police confirmed the accident.
“A motorist driving a Toyota Quantum vehicle, with eight occupants lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road and overturned several times before landing on its wheels.
“As a result of the accident, two people died on the spot and two upon admission at Murewa Hospital, while four others were severely injured,” police said.
On the same day, three people died while seven others were injured in a road traffic accident that occurred at the 213km peg along Harare-Masvingo Road.
A motorist driving a Toyota Prado vehicle towards Harare collided head-on with a VW Polo going the opposite direction.
Meanwhile, two people died and 22 others were injured after a Binga-bound bus crashed at the 50km peg along Lubimbi-Kariyangwe Road, in Kamativi on Friday at about 1300 hours.
