Sale of alcohol remains banned at soccer matches - PSL

Consumption and selling of alcohol during Premier League Soccer matches remains banned despite the PSL earlier indicating is is allowed to be sold at soccer matches.

In a statement released by the local league mother body, it is illegal to be found with alcohol and police will be conducting thorough searches upon admission at the stadia.

“This serves to advise that the sale and consumption of alcohol during Premier League Soccer matches is prohibited, PSL and Clubs are currently  working to meet the required standards for the sale of alcohol at the Stadia,” reads part of the statement.

The statement also added that bottles, cans and cooler boxes remain prohibited.

“Football stakeholders and fans are reminded that bottles, cans, cooler boxes and other containers that can be potential issues are not allowed in the stadium.

“The police will be conducting thorough checks and searches prior to admission into the stadium and all prohibited items will be confiscated,” added the PSL.
