Four ladies of the night who stabbed and robbed a man who had had a mechanical problem near their hunting spot have appeared in court.
Tanaka Samakande, 31, Phakamani Andile Sibanda, 30, Phepisani Sibanda, 39, Martin Mudzimuirema, 22 all residing at Girls Court, Harare appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Courts accused of robbery.
The State alleges that around midnight on April 24, the complainant was driving his car, a Golf with no registration number along Central Avenue in Harare.
His car developed a mechanical fault and he pulled off the road and stopped close to where Samakande and her colleague were standing, looking for clients.
Samakande then approached the complainant, opened his passenger door and asked if he needed sexual services and he said no.
That, however, did not go down well with Samakande who went on to grab the complainant by the collar saying the complainant could not just visit the place for “window shopping”.
Samakande started demanding money from the complainant. It was during that moment that Phakamani, Mudzimuirema and Phepisani came to the scene.
One of them stabbed the complainant once on the forehead with a screw driver and he started bleeding.
The four then took complainant’s cooler box, two worksuits and a jacket from his car.
Phakamani and Phepisani then ordered the complainant to give Samakande US$5 and he complied.
Mudzimuirema then violently took complainant’s IPhone 07 phone from his pocket and they all fled from the scene.
A report was made at Fife Avenue Police Station, a follow-up was made on the four at Girls Court by the police.
Upon arrival at Girls Court, Samakande was positively identified by the complainant and she was subsequently arrested.
She then led the officers to a certain room in Girls Court where Phakamani and Phepisani were also positively identified by the complainant and were arrested as well.
The two were searched and complainant’s IPhone 7 was recovered from Phakhamile.
Mudzimuirema was arrested on April 25.
