Ireland offers asylum to Gweru business man wanted for three murders

 

ZRP has roped in the International Criminal Police Organisation in order to have Gweru car dealer Peter Dube arrested and extradited from Ireland where he sought asylum under an alias after fleeing Zimbabwe where he faces three allegations of murder.

“Ongoing investigations confirm that he disappeared and left the country. New leads show that he jumped the border and started living in Eswatini under the alias Xolile Mtsali. He then relocated to Ireland, where he sought asylum,” Police spokesperson Ass Com Paul Nyathi has said.

He said that Peter Dube, 37, in now on Interpol’s most wanted list as a Red Notice has been issued, compelling the Irish police to arrest Dube and hand him over to Zimbabwean police.

Allegations against Dube are that on 23 April 2021, Dube saw his second wife, Nyasha Nharingo, and her suspected lover Shelton Chinhango seated in a minibus parked outside the flat in Gweru’s central business district, where Nharingo lived.

Dube fatally shot Chinhango at close range. Next he shot Nharingo’sfriend, Gamuchirai Mudungwe, in the chest killing her instantly

The he shot Nharingo and her sister Nyaradzo.  Nyaradzo died while admitted at the hospital where the sisters were taken.

Police have indicated that Dube will face three cases of murder and one of attempted murder when he finally stands before the court.
