A Guruve woman allegedly killed herself after failing to live with her cheating husband.
Miriam Mutamba, 41, of Mangara Village in Guruve took a pesticide and died at her homestead.
The deceased’s husband, Romeo Judah, reported the matter to the police after her death.
Deputy Mashonaland Central provincial police spokesperson, Sergeant Major Samuel Chikasha, confirmed the case.
The couple is believed to have had a misunderstanding on May 27 over infidelity.
Around 6pm on May 28, Mutamba, who was accusing her husband of cheating went to the toilet outside their bedroom.
After 30 minutes she called for help while writhing in pain.
The husband resoonded to her calls for help and saw a pesticide besides her after which he called a neighbour before trying to render first aid.
They rushed her to Guruve District Hospital, but Mutamba died along the way.
Police urged members of the public to settle disputes amicably.
