"My mom groomed me in church and I’m rooted in Christ so being a gospel musician was an inevitable choice for me," says Rudo Tania Madindi.

The lead vocalist in Joyful Praise Choir (JPC) is eagerly anticipating performing at Mark Madzinga's new album launch on October 29, 2022 at New Country Club, Harare.

Zim Now had a short talk with Rudo. To understand the woman known for her beautiful voice. And the performances on the streets.

Rudo is a Pastor at Praise City in Harare, a musician and a motherprenuer, she calls herself.

Most women do not need a definition of motherprenuer as they can relate with Rudo’s multiple roles juggling motherhood, wifely duties as well as career responsibilities simultaneously.

She says hubby Gamaliel Blessing Madindi, executive director of JPC is her life anchor.

Gamaliel has been her coach since 2014 and has helped her define herself.

"My husband would say to me, skeemy, sharpen your axe in your level and at your own pace," says Rudo.

Madindi was raised in church where her singing apirations started at four years old until she improved herself to become part of the JPC with the help of her mother Precious Notah and has since remained in the fold of Christ.

While other people do it for money, for Madindi it is purely out of love and passion.

"Financial and material achievements come from serving God right, using my gift. I would praise God if I acquire a stable life with my family, for I believe God is a rewarder of those that serve him right," she says.

She says her greatest accomplishments lie in her purpose when people receive Christ, healing, deliverance and restoration.

The profound worship leader is on a mission to bless and save lives together with her gospel choir with well-known songs such as Ngoro Yeminana, Samatenga and Pese Pese.

Rudo advises young people to desist from instant gratification which pressurises them into a life of competition.

"Time and chance happen to all, but most of all keep your relationship with God in good shape," she says.

Don’t forget to catch her at Mark Madzinga's new album launch on October 29, 2022 at New Country Club, Harare.
