The road linking Glen Norah suburb and Chitungwiza is set to be opened to traffic in August as work on the Mbudzi Intechange progresses well.
“We are happy with the progress so far and we expect that the first road of the Interchange, that’s the road linking traffic from Masvingo Road to Glen Norah should open to traffic by the end of next month,” said Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Development, Engineer Theodius Chinyanga.
Mbudzi is currently closed with traffic diverted to by pass routes.
In a recent update, the ministry said that the project is almost 50% done and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2024.
