A 35-year-old man, Douglas Chikandiwa, was arrested on Saturday after being found with a live pangolin at the 40-kilometre peg along the Harare-Mukumbura Road.
Police confirmed the arrest of Chikandiwa on X wall.
“The police who were at a security check point stopped and searched a grey Nissan Tilda motor vehicle which was being driven by the suspect and recovered a live Pangolin which was stashed in a black satchel placed at the front passenger seat.”
Meanwhile, in Bulawayo, police in Cowdray Park arrested 31-year-old Dingani Sibanda for allegedly murdering his wife, Simelinkisi Sibanda on Friday.
Police confirmed that Dingani allegedly assaulted his wife using an unknown object indiscriminately over an undisclosed issue and he left her for dead.
Dingani was then arrested on Saturday while in hiding.
