Police officers deployed on operation "No to machete wielding gangs" at Jumbo Mine, Mazowe have arrested five people so far.
Precious Mudzyazvavanhu, 23, Taurai Ruvinga, 24, Josephat Midzipuri, 20, Saymore Takaza, 18 and Slyvester Tengera, 18 were arrested for public violence.
"The suspects, who were armed with machetes and knives, attacked some miners with the intention of conducting illegal mining activities at the Big Mine, Mazowe," police said.
