Citizens Coalition for Change official, who was the party’s candidate for the Mabvuku-Tafara Constituency in the August 23-24 National Assembly elections, Febion Munyaradzi Kufahakutizwi, was arrested yesterday.
According to CCC national spokesperson, Promise Mkwananzi, their shadow MP for Mabvuku-Tafara constituency was arrested on charges of assault and malicious damage to property.
Kufahakutizwi appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Courts today on those charges and was given free bail pending trial on 23 January 2024.
Speaking to Zim Now after his court appearance, Kufahakutizwi expressed disappointment over the issue, noting that it is an attack from my political rivals.
“The charges I am facing are petty and have no grounds and I am sure that is why I was given free bail,” he told Zim Now.
