Government, however also noted that the country might see a short rainy season.

Giving the update after Cabinet’s adoption of the update on the 2023-2024 summer cropping season, Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister, Dr Jenfan Muswere reiterated that the rainy season has started and rains are expected throughout the country during the course of the week.

“Farmers are therefore advised that the rainfall season has started and is likely to be short,” said Dr Muswere.
