The Women and Law in Southern Africa-Zimbabwe Board has appointed Isheanesu Chirisa as its new National Director with effect from January 1, 2024.
Chirisa’s appointment was announced in a statement by the WLSA of Chirisa to the role, was posted in a statement, with WILSA expressing thrill to announce the development.
“Isheanesu brings into the role 20+ years of experience in Gender Justice, Human Rights, Advocacy and policy influencing at local, regional and international levels,” the statement read.
WILSA deals with gender responsive policies and ensuring justice is equitably accessed, claimed and enjoyed by women and girls from all walks of life, with its recent work being the outcry on participation of women in elections where they decried the high nomination fees for candidates hindering women participation.
