Afro Jazz star Bob Nyabinde, "The Headmaster," has passed away.
"The great songwriter has departed. Farewell, Jazz legend. Harmonize with the angels,” reads a statement on his Facebook wall.
Friends and relatives have come out to mourn the legend.
Bob had a hip replacement operation a few weeks ago after falling and fracturing his leg.
He had lost his sight to undiagnosed diabetes as well as suffered a stroke.
Best known for his song “Chabuda Hapana” Bob Nyabinde’s well thought lyrics, superb instrumentation and soulful voice earned him popularity across demographics.
He is survived by sons who are musicians in their own right, Agga and Albert.
