Citizens’ Coalition for Change interim secretary-general, Sengezo Tshabangu has filed an urgent chamber application with the High Court of Zimbabwe against former party leader Nelson Chamisa for forceful occupation and possession of party offices in Bulawayo.

This comes as Nelson Chamisa through alleged agents and proxies forcibly took possession of Bulawayo party offices located at Stand 41 Fort Street, between 2nd and 3rd Avenue, before painting the precast walls and whole office in blue while also erecting a portrait picture of Chamisa.

The party offices were originally painted in yellow and black.

In the urgent chamber application, Tshabangu on behalf of the party, named as applicant reiterated that the party is using the premises as its Bulawayo provincial offices where all meetings, programmes and provincial party documents are held and kept, with the party seeking the courts to grant order for the respondent to vacate the premises.

“The applicant is using the premises as its Bulawayo provincial offices wherein all provincial party documents are kept, party meetings, activities, programmes are conducted.

“Applicant accordingly, seeks an urgent relief restoring possession, control and occupation of its premises,” Tshabangu said.

Chamisa’s faction lost the Morgan Richard Tsvangirai House to the MDC-T leader, Douglas Mwonzora, now the CCC party seeks to recover its offices from them.

Meanwhile, the CCC continues to dismantle with yet another elected official for Hwange, Daniel Malokele resigning from Parliament and the party.

His resignation follows that of Fadzayi Mahere and Allan Rusty Markham.
