The development of women’s football remains a top priority: Zifa

The Zimbabwe Football Association is putting attention to the development of women’s football in the country in order to close the gap female footballers and their male counterparts.

In an interview with Zim Now, Zifa Technical Director Jethro “Chemmie” Hunidzarira said the quickest way to get to Afcon is through the ladies so they are ensuring he development of women’s football remains a top priority.

“Fifa is allocating a lot of money towards women’s football to all the associations so, we want to really channel it into that. We are putting in place a deliberate strategy to make sure that we accelerate the involvement in women’s football,” he said.
