Harare football giants Dynamos are willing to loan out midfielder Tendai Matindife to rivals CAPS United, but only if a formal request is made by the Green Machine.
Matindife, who has already been training with CAPS United and even featured in a pre-season friendly, is seeking greener pastures after falling out of favor with the Glamour Boys. Dynamos fans were left scratching their heads after his impressive performance against MWOS, questioning the decision to exclude him from the squad.
A source within Dynamos revealed that the club is open to letting Matindife join CAPS United on loan, but with a key caveat: he cannot play against his parent club.
"The club is not worried about him joining CAPS United because we have clauses in our loan contracts that prevent loaned players from playing against us," the source said.
"We already have Jayden Bakari on loan to them, and even though they are rivals, we have a history of doing business with each other."
The source added that Dynamos is motivated by the possibility of reigniting Matindife's career, believing a loan spell could provide him with a fresh start.
"We understand that he is a talented player who can be a valuable asset to any team in the country, but his main challenge has been failing to consistently play to his potential," the source explained.
"His unauthorized absence from training strained his relationship with the coaching staff, but everyone at Dynamos recognizes his talent. We believe a loan to CAPS United could be the key to unlocking his full potential."
Whether CAPS United will officially request Matindife's services remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: Dynamos are prepared to let their player join their biggest rivals, with the hope that it will ultimately benefit both the club and the player
