The man in a video circulating on social media, threatening to kill President Emmerson Mnangagwa, has disowned the clip, claiming that his account was hacked by opposition officials to tarnish his relations with the President.
This comes as the police have launched a manhunt for the man, only identified by his black suit and a purple shirt, in connection with the video.
In another video posted on social media, the man says that opposition elements hacked his account and used voice-over to project a narrative that he was against the President and that he wanted to kill him.
“Let me make it clear, the MDC hacked my account and used another voice on the video to wage a grudge between me and the President. I am a Zanu PF supporter. This is the work of the MDC,” the man said.
