TelOne student in court over leaked exam paper

A TelOne Centre of Learning student has been arraigned before the courts accused of participating in the leakage of an examination paper.

Tafadzwa Mwaningamambo, 23, Zengeza 5, Chitungwiza, appeared before magistrate Lynne Chizhou at the Harare Magistrates’ Courts charged of possessing articles of criminal use.

The complainant in this matter is TelOne Centre of Learning represented by Josephine Muzhangiri.

He was granted US$20 bail and will tomorrow trial date.

The State, through prosecutor Rufaro Chonzi, alleges that on December 8, 2023, Muzhangiri was informed that the examination papers, which were being written, had been leaked at the institution.

She started doing internal investigations, which then revealed that Nicolet Rukasha, student of part 1:1 was seen with a leaked Engineering Mathematics Paper 1 which had been written on December 7, 2023, at the Institution.

When she was asked, she revealed that she obtained the leaked examination paper from one Bradley Mangombe Kudzai Chimutsa and Elton James who have already been arrested and placed on remand.

James revealed that he had been given the leaked examination paper by Mwaningamambo on a fee.
